There is something frightening about the way a hateful, unknown creature looks back at you. The way its beady red eyes snarl at you, and it's cheek curls with a hiss to reveal the greedy canines beneath. It is one thing to dream of this beastly creature, and it is another to have it inches from your face, its warm ungodly breath on your cheek, and its pallid gray bones reaching to devour you. My name is Aniah, and once my world was safe. But like many others throughout the universe-and here on the planet Delucia-fate would have me meet with the Mangitori de Sangue; an ancient army of blood-lusting creatures who have been frightening and devouring the inhabitants of the universe for decades. My fate brings me deep into their world. In fact, it is written somewhere-and the stories have been told long before I was ever born-of a prophecy wherein a young woman with the heart and soul of an angel will lead the universe in a victory against the Mangitori de Sangue. I am that woman. I just have to stay alive long enough to figure out how.

This is the second book in a sci-fi fantasy series, and offers more action and adventure than the first book in the series, Propheticus:The Mangitori de Sangue. Aniah and Novell's relationship has suffered some because of Aniah's discovery and the visitation of the SleepWalker last year. Aniah must learn to protect herself and fight against the dark creatures as she leaves her home behind and begins a dangerous journey, trying to discover her role in the Prophecy of the Dark Angeli. Sample of writing from book: I didn’t feel like the savior of the universe. I was afraid of tiny cliff sides and dead animals. But I didn’t have a choice; people depended on me-millions of people. My life was no longer my own. Just as the Mangitor de Sangue’s was not their own. My name is Aniah. I saw my fate last year in the eyes of a monster, otherwise known as a SleepWalker, a breed of the Mangitori de Sangue. I have yet to learn about this prophecy in which I am an omnipotent warrior sent to save this universe from the deadly clasps of the Mangitori de Sangue, an ancient army of blood lusting creatures. I must try to pull myself from this fearful prison of self pity and desperation that I have trapped myself in, realizing I could lose everyone I ever loved, and become the warrior that millions are counting on. I must learn to fight and spill blood; to run and to hide; and worst of all, to be prepared to have my world ripped to pieces.

I wanted to share with you some of the things that are not in my bio. Here goes…I grew up in a junkyard. Okay, not really, but I did live a whole year of my life in
one—literally. I attribute this to my adventurous personality and creative imagination, but really I think it started long before that. For some reason I was obsessed with the idea of running away and living on the streets, I thought it was magical and that’s when fairies and angels intervened. Yes, I was a bit of a dramatic. I would convince my little brother and sister to pack a blanket with clothes and a morsel of food from the house and fasten it to a stick like you see in all those movies, and run away with me. Of course I only ever intended to go less than a block away form home, make a fort out of whatever I could find and hang out for a few hours. It was all fun and games to me, because when you were a runaway you could imagine all kinds of things and pretend you were wherever you wanted.  This intrigue with running away only fueled when we found ourselves temporarily misplaced in a small town in Nevada in the town’s old junkyard with lots of places to hide, forts to build, things to climb and creatures to catch. How did my family and I end up living in a junkyard? Well, my father accepted what seemed to be a firm offer of employment in a place called Logandale, NV. We sold our house, packed up a moving van and our family of eleven and road tripped it to our new home (of course we didn’t really have a home yet, we were going to shack up in a hotel till we could get all settled in). But when my father showed up at the office to report in for duty, they apologized and told him that they had actually given the position to someone else.  I could only imagine how my father must have felt. But so the story goes that some people in this small town found out about our situation, cleared a plot in the town junkyard and hauled a single wide trailer on it for us to live in. It’s the experiences like these that make is stronger and appreciate life and the type of people that would do that for strangers. I loved every minute of that year that we were there; told ghost stories in the silos near by while bats flew over our heads, fished in the irrigations ditches, picked pomegranates to survive off of on my runaway journeys and climbed the junkyard trucks and cranes to watch an incredible sunset whenever I wanted. After a year had passed and my parents were back on their feet and ready for their next job we were out of there, but it’s a place that will be with me in my mind forever. When people ask me how I come up with the things that I do, I can’t help but remember the year that I was seven.

emmadaleyEmma Daley was eccentric; this was something her mother knew right from the start. At only the age of three, you could find her perched in the center of the dining table, a tape player in her lap, while the other kids gathered to listen to her recite her own creative version of her favorite tales like “Jack and The Bean Stalk” or “Peter Pan”.
As she grew up, she moved on to bigger and better things. With her older sister, Emma started dressing up the neighbor kids and auditioning for parts in Beauty and the beast, and Cinderella using mops and her mother’s make up for costumes.
Her imagination was fueled when she signed up for a high school Greek Mythology class. It was there in high school Mythology class that Emma found her dream. Her teacher recognized her talent, and encouraged her to pursue a career in the one thing that brought her imagination to life, writing. As a military wife and with life’s fast pace and strenuous demands, it wasn’t until she was 26 that she finally decided to pursue those long forgotten dreams.
