Pivot Point is the first YA book I've read in a very long time... well what feels like a very long time. I get in these reading phases of genres. For example if I start reading romance novels that's all I'll read for a while and then I'll get tired of that genre and switch to a different one.
I say this to say I really enjoyed this book; it was unique, different, and quite frankly a breath of fresh air. Addie has this gift to "Search" which means she can see how things in her future will turn out depending on her actions. When Addie's parents divorce she is forced to choose who she wants to live with... which is when her best friend persuades her to Search each decision. This is where the book got complicated because you kind of got lost in trying to figure out what was a Search and what was reality.
Each choice has it's perks and downfalls and Addie has to choose which path is worth it. Personally I like Trevor... he's down to earth, genuine, and good for Addie. This book was refreshing, unique, and had my complete attention the whole time I was reading it. Even when I had to stop reading it I was constantly thinking of what was going to happen next. Definitely give this book a try if you're looking for something different with a little twist in it.
