I read the first book in this series "The Mayfair Moon" a couple of months ago and I enjoyed it, but not enough to jump straight into the second book. The Author sent me an e-copy to read and review of the first book, and I liked it enough that when she offered to send me a physical copy of the second book I said yes.

The only thing that I regret about reading this book now, is that I didn't read it earlier. Not often do I find a book that I devour in one sitting or in a matter of hours, but that was the case with this book. The words and story flowed so smoothly that I completely lost track of time and reality, which is my goal every time I indulge in reading a book. I had such fun reading Kindred; I was lost to the world around me and immersed into a dark, mysterious, and adventurous world filled with romance and secrets. I'm so relieved that Adria isn't one of those heroines that are whiny and self-centered or a martyr which is even worse. She's a normal girl with very real feelings for Isaac. Adria went through a lot growing up which caused her to grow up rather quickly and I like that she is mature.

Isaac; Adria's boyfriend is a werewolf who is supposed to be Alpha but gave up that right along with everything else to be with Adria. Both head over heels for each other; they do things and keep things from one another to spare the feelings of each other but in doing so create an even bigger mess. Add into the mix an amazing crowd of side characters and you've got a great story on your hands.

This book had a very strong Vampire Diaries feel to me. Not the story itself, but the atmosphere, and I thoroughly enjoyed reading this. Sooner or later I'll read the third and final book in this trilogy and I have a feeling it will end up being everything that I would want a story to be and more. Cheers to reading another awesome book.
