Lightening strikes my nervous
system.
White, hot, molten lava builds and
bursts into a million tiny shooting
stars of my being.
Spinning outside of my body into
an alternate realm of time and space
surrounded by warm and comforting
darkness.
Returning back from a place where I
exist with no name.
Blissfully and carelessly falling into
a seamless abyss of sleep.

Refusing
to become an adult was something I experienced in my 23rd year of
life. I had reached a point in life where I was tired of the mundane:
responsibilities, bills, work, and school. I felt confined, like I was in a
cage, and I was ready to break free of it all. I brought a whole new meaning to
the word procrastination, as it wasn’t just a homework assignment I was putting
off but growing up and becoming an adult. From my experiences, I’ve come to
realize that procrastination is a major cause of stress and anxiety.
Today I feel tired. I feel like laying in the bed for a straight week. I feel like reading. I feel like traveling. I feel like being anywhere but where I am.
These feelings are the reason why I always end up picking up instead of sticking to something to see it through.
I want freedom. I want to explore. I want to see different places, learn new concepts, experience different cultures, breathe in new air.
Discover. Explore. Learn. Grow.
“It was a very ordinary day, the day I realized that my becoming is my life and my home and that I don't have to do anything but trust the process, trust my story and enjoy the journey. It doesn't really matter who I've become by the finish line, the important things are the changes from this morning to when I fall asleep again, and how they happened, and who they happened with. An hour watching the stars, a coffee in the morning with someone beautiful, intelligent conversations at 5am while sharing the last cigarette. Taking trains to nowhere, walking hand in hand through foreign cities with someone you love. Oceans and poetry.
Thing about problems is that you will always have them; you can either choose to solve them or ignore them... either way they are still going to be there.
Now this isn't a bad thing. I think it's all about perception. For instance stake if you choose to begin eating healthy, that comes with its own set of problems: meal prep, endless dishes, time consumption, etc.
